President of RA-UK and a consultant at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust. He is a block room pioneer, led the introduction of Prep, Stop, Block and is co-lead for assessment on the UEA RA MSc. He lectures internationally and is course director of SUGRA.
